Vanessa Ella Parker, A retired licensed mortician and retired government worker from the state of New Jersey. who has been living in the state of Georgia since the year 2009 in Cobb County.
While working, went back to school to attain an Associate Degree from Hudson County Community College, a Bachelor Degree in Business Management at New Jersey City University, a Mortuary Science Degree to help in the family business from McAllister School of Funeral Service and Fairleigh Dickinson University where she attained her Master Degree in Administration.
Vanessa is a dedicated loving wife and James Ryner and bonus mom to two sons and a granddaughter. She is a dog mom. Along with her retirement, she was a caretaker of special needs senior adults, a homestay parent of four Saudi Arabian student to assist with their English studies, a long time driver for Cobb County Meals on Wheels before Covid, a recently been volunteering at local food banks, enjoy playing pickleball and threw her hat in the ring of politics as a dedicated Democrat who wants to legislate for change for Georgians
As a Democrat, she saw a need to fulfill a vacant challenge to an incumbent Republican senator in district 37. Vanessa started her journey in 2020 to challenge the incumbent, Lindsey Tippins for the Georgia State Senate seat for district 37. She has been on this journey for the past four years. There are many Georgians suffering due to policies created by the majority in the Georgia senate chambers, such as voters suppression and Vanessa believes if elected can ignite change for the people.
Vanessa wants to join the legislature to add to constituents rights, not remove them. Together, with other Democratic majority rather the State House we would be able to combat for Medicaid for All, raise the Minimum Raise, append gun regulations for safety of our schools.
